These are just bodies
This is just flesh
And yet we praise it
There is no happiness here
Just flimsy green bills
And yet we praise it
Work 40 hours a week
At a job we don't like
And yet we praise it
Lose all of ourselves
To be with one person
We praise it
The soul in its splendor
The depth lies within
Yet we neglect it
The poorest of poor
Would thrive on our money
Yet we neglect it
We have goals to pursue
We have dreams to explore
Yet we neglect it
The dreams of our fathers
The sacrifice of our mothers
We neglect it.
