Sack Up

Us independent thinkers are unsatisfied with the world
We want to unmask the mocking smirk of normalcy
And find the truth

We are not satisfied by the promises of the church
The gentle lullaby that sings so many to sleep
And makes them forget the worries of the world

But they are there, oh my they are there
The worries seep from every infrastructure of society
And make their way deep into my soul

To not scrutinize this immensely intricate world
Would be a sad injustice unto oneself

When everything that occurs in the world can
Simply be ascribed to an act of God
Life loses its mystery
Motives are no longer questioned
All becomes expected

And sure, if this helps you to cope with your world
Then you go right ahead
If the only way you can feel a sense of purpose
Is to look for things above
Then you will have your head in the clouds
Ignoring what happens right here

To search for truth means to search for oneself
To search for oneself is a difficult process
We live in a world of difficult processes
So sack up and find yourself
And believe not what others tell you to believe
But believe what makes the innermost fibers of your being
Resonate with assurance, love and begin seeing
